N.S.F.L SUNDAY RESULTS (3-27-22)



( 4-1) Utah Grizzlies- 9    (1-4) Orlando Rockets- 7

Orlando, Fla:  Dakota Prucup threw for 303 yards and a touchdown with one interception on 20 of 45 passing as the Utah Grizzlies defeated the Orlando Rockets 9-7 Sunday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. 

Christopher Herndon had 5 receptions for 102 yards. Lucky Whitehead 4 catches for 83 yards and Darreus Rogers 5 catches for 48 yards and a touchdown (11 yards).  TJ Lee had 6 tackles, 3 deflections and an interception. Soloman Ajayi 6 tackles,  David Irvin 4 tackles, a sack, a stuff and 3 hurries. David Amersham had 4 tackles and a interception. Dylan Wynn recorded a sack for Utah. 

Rockets quarterback Jeremiah Masoli went 35/17 for 196 yards and 2 interceptions. Orleans Darkwa ran 15 times for 31 yards. Ben Koyack had 4 catches for 65 yards. Malik McMorris caught 4 passes for 45 yards. Avery Ellis recorded 7 tackles and a stuff. David Onyemata 6 tackles, a stuff and 2 hurries. Cleyon Laing had a 18 yard block punt return for a touchdown. 

The Rockets committed 12 penalties totalling 108 yards. Utah  9 penalties for 84 yards.


(3-1-1)- Connecticut Colonials- 29   (3-2) Pittsburgh Ironmen- 17

Pittsburgh, PA:  James Wilder Jr rushed for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns on 18 carries in leading the Connecticut Colonials to a 29-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Ironmen before 28,471 at Heinz Field. 

Dane Evans completed 21 of 34 passing for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns. Romello Brooker had 9 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown. Shaquelle Evans caught 3 passes for 60 yards and a score. Kelvin Sheppard recorded 9 tackles and a interception,  Shawn Oakman tallied 3 tackles and 2 sacks,  John Ojo 6 tackles and a interception and Corey White had an interception for Connecticut. 

Jonathan Jennings completed 25 of 47 passing for 259 yards and 2 touchdowns with 5 interceptions for the Ironmen. Patrick Ricard caught 6 passes for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns. Reed Klubnik 6 catches for 63 yards and Preston Addo 4 receptions for 64 yards. 

Antonio Allen led the Ironmen defense with 11 tackles and a forced fumble. Rasul Douglas 8 tackles and Juwan Foggia 8 tackles 

(3-2) Philadelphia Liberty- 23    (1-4) Los Angeles Stars- 10

Philadelphia, PA:  Jake Browning went 27/18 passing for 272 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Philadelphia Liberty blasted the Los Angeles Stars 23-10 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia Sunday.  

Salvon Ahmed ran 17 times for 62 yards. Kareem Hunt rushed for 15 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries. He caught 5 passes for 40 yards and a score.  Braxton Berrios 3 catches for 86 yards and a touchdown. Dalton Schultz 6 catches for 83 yards. Jeremy Kellem had 9 tackles and 2 interceptions,  Tre Boston 8 tackles and Brandon Alexander 3 tackles and a interception for the Liberty. 

Ryan Nassib completed 23 of 45 passing for 272 yards and a touchdown with 3 interceptions for Los Angeles. Alex Collins rushed for 51 yards on 9 carries. Ricky Seals Jones caught 6 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. Tanner Gentry 5 catches for 40 yards and Marquis Scantling 4 catches for 36 yards. 

Will Compton recorded 11 tackles, Duke Riley 5 tackles and a sack and Ben Benwikere 6 tackles and a forced fumble for the Los Angeles defense. 

(3-2) Mississippi Venom- 3   (1-2-1) Shreveport Pirates- 0

Jackson, Ms:  Kenny Allen's 37 yard first quarter field goal was the only scoring needed as the Mississippi Venom shut out the Shreveport Pirates 3-0 before 29,665 at Mississippi Memorial Stadium Sunday. 

Chad Kelly completed 17 of 32 passes for 125 yards. James Connor rushed for 56 yards on 22 carries. Aaron Ripkowski ran 4 times for 8 yards and had 5 receptions for 33 yards. Derrick Griffin 4 catches for 34 yards and Brandon Banks 3 receptions for 31 yards for the Venom. 

Winston Rose had 9 tackles, a forced fumble and a interception to lead the Venom defense.  Ja'Von Rowland Jones 5 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. 

Zach Mettenberger completed 12 of 38 passes for 165 yards and a interception for Shreveport. Michael Carter ran 12 times for 39 yards. Keenan Brown had 3 receptions for 66 yards and Emmanuel Arceneaux 4 catches for 44 yards. 

Joe Gaziano recorded 6 tackles and 2 sacks. Chase Allen 9 tackles and Josh Evans 3 tackles and a sack for Shreveport. 

(4-0) Houston Wranglers- 36    (3-2) Tampa Bay Barracudas- 14

Houston, TX:  Zach Collaros threw for 359 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception as the Houston Wranglers remained unbeaten (4-0) crushing the Tampa Bay Barracudas 36-14 in Houston Sunday.

Devin Singletary ran 12 times for 90 yards. Elijah Holyfield 7 carries for 42 yards and a touchdown. Bryce Williams 8 catches for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kenny Shaw 6 receptions for 114 yards.  D'Haquille Williams 5 catches for 73 yards and a touchdown for the Wranglers. 

Patrick Levels had 8 tackles and an interception. Soloman Elimimian 11 tackles and David Rivers 9 tackles to lead the Wranglers defensive effort. 

Cam Newton led Tampa Bay throwing for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception on 46/24 passing. He ran 12 times for 99 yards. Tarik Cohen rushed for 75 yards on 10 carries and caught 9 passes for 63 yards. Greg Ward Jr had 4 receptions for 40 yards and Shaq Johnson 3 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. 

Tony Lippet had 12 tackles and Chris Peace 7 tackles and a sack to lead the Tampa defense. 

(4-1) Washington Generals- 18    (1-3) Arkansas Diamond Miners- 16

Little Rock, Ark:  Devontae Booker ran for one touchdown and caught another as the Washington Generals defeated the Arkansas Diamond Miners 18-16 at War Memorial Stadium before 26,099 in Little Rock. 

Cardale Jones completed 28 of 48 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown with 2 interceptions.  Devontae Booker rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown, plus 4 receptions for 62 yards and a score. Will Tye had 7 catches for 79 yards,  Joe Hills 6 receptions for 49 yards, Tim Wright 5 catches for 53 yards and Keke Coutee 4 catches for 47 yards for Washington. 

Fabion Foote had 4 tackles and a sack, Ed Gainey 3 tackles and a interception and Ronheen Bingham 3 tackles and a sack for the Washington defense.

Amir Hall threw for 150 yards and a touchdown with an interception and ran 4 times for 11 yards.  Bryce Love ran 21 times for 80 yards. James O'Shaughnessy caught 6 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown for the Diamond Miners. 

Tedric Thompson recorded 9 tackles and a interception,  Chris Humes 2 forced fumbles and 5 tackles. Jake Doughty 5 tackles and a interception for the Diamond Miners defense. 

(4-1) Chicago Crusaders- 35     (3-2) Michigan Stags- 21

Chicago, IL;  James Robinson rushed for 64 yards and 3 touchdowns on 17 carries as the Chicago Crusaders defeated the Michigan Stags 35-21 at Soldier Field in Chicago. 

McLeod Bethel Thompson threw for 195 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 19 of 31 passing.  Antonio Brown caught 6 passes for 71 yards. James Robinson had 6 receptions for 44 yards. Ellis Richardson 4 catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. 

Zach Sanchez 6 tackles and a interception,  Jordan Whitehead 8 tackles and Nickell Coleman 8 tackles  for the Crusaders defense. 

Trevor Harris completed 22 of 44 passes for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception for Michigan. 

Alfred Blue rushed for 87 yards on 17 carries, plus 4 receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown. Samaje Perine 8 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown. Naamon Roosevelt caught 7 passes for 106 yards. Antonio Callaway 7 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. 

JC Jackson had 9 tackles, Matt Judon 5 tackles a sack and a forced fumble and Thurston Armstead 8 tackles for Michigan. 

( 3-2 ) San Antonio Riders- 33    ( 2-3) Arizona Hotshots- 31

Phoenix, Az:  Andrew Harris ran 23 times for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns in leading the San Antonio Riders to a 33-31 victory over the Arizona Hotshots. 

Cooper Rush completed 18 of 34 passing for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception. William Stanback ran 19 times for  89 yards and  a touchdown, plus 3 catches for 40 yards. Mark Andrews had 7 receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. Kamar Jordan 4 catches for 26 yards and a touchdown .

Taron Johnson 12 tackles and a interception,  Daylon Mack 3 tackles and 2 sacks . Calvin Pryor 7 tackles and a interception for San Antonio. 

Nick Shafnisky went 35/21 for 239 yards and 2 touchdowns with 4 interceptions . Andrew Harris ran 23 times for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus 5 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. Jace Amaro 5 receptions for 64 yards and Kendall Wright 4 catches for 60 yards for the Hotshots. 

Samson Eubukam had 5 tackles and a sack,  Myles Bryant 3 tackles and a interception and Grover Stewart 3 tackles and a sack in the loss.

( 4-1) San Francisco Sea Lions- 22    (2-2) Oakland Odyssey- 17

Oakland, Ca:  Easton Stick completed 25 of 41 passes for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception and rushed for 51 yards on 9 carries as the San Francisco Sea Lions knocked off the Oakland Odyssey 22-17 at Ring Central Coliseum in Oakland Sunday night. 

Austin Ekeler ran 15 times for 57 yards and 7 catches  for 82 yards, Philip Lindsay rushed for 35 yards on 6 carries. Bryant Mitchell 7 receptions for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns . Fabian Guerra 3 catches for 35 yards 

Fabian Moreau 4 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception,  Alvin Ray Jackson 11 tackles in the win for San Francisco. 

Odyssey quarterback Cody Fajardo threw for 216 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 23 of 34 passing. Aaron Jones ran 7 times for 27 yards and 5 catches for 77 yards. Brian Hill 6 carries for 27 yards and 8 receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. Collin Taylor 3 catches for 25 yards. 

Pierre Desir had 10 tackles and a interception ( TD, 33 yards), John Bowman 7 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble and Dre Greenlaw 8 tackles and a sack in the loss for the Odyssey.
