N.S.F.L FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL RESULTS ( Wk 13)



Explorers ( 1-11)- 30    Colonials ( 5-6-1 )- 27 ( OT)

Columbus, Ohio-  Sawyer Petre booted a 42 yard game winning field as time expired in overtime, giving the Columbus Explorers their first victory with a 30-27 win over the Connecticut Colonials Friday night at Crew Stadium in Columbus. 

Vernon Adams threw for 320 yards and 3 touchdowns with 2 interceptions and sacked twice, and rushed 3 times for 13 yards. 

Jeremy Langford ran 23 times for 111 yards and caught 3 passes for 16 yards. Will Dissly had 8 receptions for 191 yards and a touchdown. DeMarkus Lodge 5 receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. Trevaun Smith 5 catches for 64 yards. Ricco Bussey a 56 yard touchdown reception. Sawyer Petre went 3 for 3 on field goal attempts with a long of 43 yards. 

Connecticut quarterback Dane Evans completed 24 of 39 passes for 234 yards and a interception. He ran 2 times for 21 yards. 

Spencer Ware rushed for 60 yards on 10 carries. James Wilder Jr ran 18 times for 54 yards and 2 touchdowns, and caught 4 passes for 38 yards. Shaquelle Evans had 6 receptions for 68 yards. Chris Godwin 5 catches for 30 yards. Martavis Bryant 4 catches for 51 yards. Gregory Hutchinson went 2 for 5 on field goal attempts with a long of 39 yards. 

Kevin Fogg recorded 10 tackles, a sack and 2 deflections.  Kelvin Sheppard 8 tackles and a sack. Eddie Jackson 8 tackles and 2 deflections. Baccarri Rambo 7 tackles and 2 deflections. Claude Pelon 7 tackles, 2 stuffs, a hurry and a forced fumble. Chandler Fenner 2 interceptions including a 20 yard interception return for a touchdown as Connecticut lost their fourth consecutive game. 

Jack Tocho led the defense with 8 tackles, a deflection and a interception ( 16 yards). Kenneth Acker 7 tackles and a deflection. Ethan Westbrook 6 tackles, 2 deflections and 2 stuffs. Beniquez Brown 6 tackles, a stuff and a hurry. DeAndre Farris 6 tackles for the Explorers.
