UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!



Carolina Sold! Brand Change Likely!

Raleigh, NC-  A spokesperson for the Carolina Storm announced this morning, that the franchise has been sold to a local group for an undisclosed amount. 

The spokesperson went on to say that the franchise most likely will not be known as the "Storm " in 2023. Rumor is that the franchise is in talks with the Washington Generals about purchasing the "Generals " brand,  if and when the Washington franchise re-locates to Baltimore, Maryland. Other names are under consideration, such as Dragons, Tide, Sabrecats and Skyhawks. 

The Storm finished 8-8, good enough for second in the Continental Conference Eastern Division and just missing the playoffs. No word if there will be any coaching changes. 

Other teams looking to possibly change their brand or move:

Milwaukee Warriors rumored to be moving to Minnesota. 
Arizona Hotshots possible brand change 
Omaha Nighthawks possible brand change 
New York Empire likely brand change due to copyright issues with "Empire " brand.
San Antonio possible brand change 
Seattle most likely moving to Honolulu under new management. Brand change likely.
